Reimagining Inclusive Education in the Age of AI: Who Thrives, and How? - Thursday 10th September

Reimagining Inclusive Education in the Age of AI: Who Thrives, and How?
In-Person Conference Day 2
Thursday 10th September 2026      I      11:00 - 12:00 BST

As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms business and management education, it brings both promise and peril. AI has the potential to personalise learning, dismantle long-standing barriers, and scale access to high-quality education. But it can also deepen exclusion, encode bias, and widen digital divides unless we act with intention.

This panel brings together leading voices from academia, educational technology, and inclusive pedagogy to explore one fundamental question: How can we ensure that AI in business education drives both innovation and inclusion?

From ethical course design to student agency, from data equity to decolonising digital spaces, our speakers will offer bold perspectives on building AI-enabled learning ecosystems where all students, not just the most privileged, can thrive.

Balancing rigour and relevance: Thriving together in translating research to innovative practice

Balancing rigour and relevance: Thriving together in translating research to innovative practice
In-Person Conference Day 2

Thursday 10th September 2026          15:30 - 16:30 BST

One of management scholarship's most persistent challenges is to align rigorous research with innovative practice. This panel brings together leading voices from academia, industry, and policy to discuss—and illustrate—how academia and industry can combine discovery and commercialisation to thrive together in translating novel insights into real-world impact for individuals, organisations, and society.

Chaired by Dr Alex Reppel, the panel will address the institutional incentives, funding structures, and intellectual property arrangements that shape research partnerships, along with the cultural and structural barriers, governance models, and questions of risk, mobility, and measurement that determine their success. Drawing on perspectives from each of these domains, the session will offer practical models for a more symbiotic relationship across academia, industry, and policy.
