PhD student, The Institute of Gender and Development Studies: Nita Barrow Unit
Alicia Haynes is a PhD student at The Institute of Gender and Development Studies: Nita Barrow Unit (IGDS: NBU), University of the West Indies, Cave Hill.
She is a trained educator who teaches Literatures in English. Her research thesis conceptualizes public spaces as transnational and shifting, through Caribbean women’s engagement.
Her research interests span digital cultures, Caribbean women writers, gender and development, and queer theory.
Alicia has been awarded the Ann Denis Scholarship for Feminist Research (2022-2023) from the IGDS: NBU.

Cancellations
Cancellations received within 14 days of booking your place on the event will receive a full refund.
Cancellations received after the 14-day cancellation period and later than 14 days before the start date of the event will not be eligible for a refund.
Although we endeavour to run all events as advertised, BAM reserves the right to cancel any event if, for example, there are not enough people to justify running the event or if other significant unforeseen circumstances arise.
