The BAM Management and Business History SIG are running an informal, virtual paper development workshop where academics with an interest in the history of business and management are able to trial ideas and papers.
The BAM Management and Business History SIG are running a virtual workshop for developing papers on Tuesday 9th November from 10:30-13:30 via Zoom.
We will offer an informal, constructive and friendly event where academics with an interest in the history of business and management are able to trial ideas and papers alongside an experienced and receptive audience.
We have several developing papers scheduled:
(1) 'Industrialist, Philanthropist, Entrepreneur or Evangelist? John Smedley Mills Jr of Lea Mills Matlock' - Dr Ruth Slater
(2) 'Methods in Business History Research' - Dr Kevin Tennent
(3) 'Changing markets in London’s transport 1977-87' - Dr James Fowler and Dr Roy Edwards
(4) 'The History of 'Taylorism': Generational Conflict, External Shocks and Contested Terrain' - Dr Michael Weatherburn
