Online

This years symposium will take place online on Wednesday 18th June 2025.

Places are limited so if you are interested in presenting a paper or attending as a non-presenting delegate, please email [email protected] to reserve a place.

As the event is being held online, we will not charge an attendance fee.

Call for Papers

Papers may fall into one of two categories - competitive and working - and in either case, must be

  • original;
  • on the theme of ‘authenticity’;
  • submitted as a Word document; and
  • submitted by midnight on 30 April 2025 by email to [email protected]

Competitive papers should be a maximum of six pages excluding abstract (maximum of 300 words), appendices and references (papers may contain tables and figures).

Working papers should be a maximum of three pages excluding abstract (maximum of 300 words), appendices and references. (Papers may contain tables and figures). You will clearly identify which aspect(s) of this paper remain a work in progress (e.g. conceptualisation, data collection, data analysis, conclusion).

The theme of this year’s Symposium is  ‘Authenticity’ and we hope this will allow for presentations and discussions on a wide range of stories based upon storytelling in business and marketing.  Abstracts will be published on the relevant web-page as and when papers are accepted for presentation.

Accepted papers will form the basis of a video-recorded presentation which will be live-streamed during the online event. The deadline for receipt of these video presentations (which should be uploaded to Youtube) will be 31 May 2025. Please note that presentations should be a maximum of ten minutes in length.

The last few years have seen the successful development of an international community of researchers and business storytellers from academia and practice, and we anticipate that we will further develop this community in the 2025 event.
