Vote Now : Fellows Vice Dean (2026-2027) Election

We were delighted to see two nominations for the BAM Vice-Dean of the Fellows College beginning in 2026.

Professor Fiona Wilson will complete her term of office at the end of this year and must step down by rotation, although she will remain on the Dean’s Group as Past Dean. Professor Savvas Papagiannidis, the current Vice Dean, will become Dean from January 2026, thereby opening a vacancy for the Vice Dean position. The Vice-Dean will serve for 2 years from January 2026, with the expectation of then assuming the role of Dean from January 2028.

Active Members of the British Academy of Management Fellows College are entitled to vote in the current Vice Dean election and must select their preferred candidate.

  • The deadline for votes to be returned will be 12.00 on Wednesday 22nd October.

The Candidates:

Ashley Braganza

Having served BAM at almost every level, from Track Chair to Council Member, I would be honoured to contribute further as Vice-Dean of the College of Fellows. The College can play a vital role in supporting BAM’s leadership in advancing the 2024–2028 Strategic and Supporting Priorities. As Vice-Dean, I would work with the Dean and Fellows to ensure that College continues to provide visible leadership, fosters intellectual development, and strengthens the College’s influence within and beyond the academy. This includes supporting the development of Early and Mid-Career Researchers, expanding capacity, through initiatives such as Masterclasses, and embedding deeper scholarly foundations within SIGs. Drawing on the significant professional and academic networks of the Fellows, I would seek to broaden BAM’s external impact, enhance engagement with stakeholders, and further establish BAM as the leading voice for management research, education and practice.

Stephanie Decker

Professor Stephanie Decker would be an exceptional candidate for the role of Vice Dean to the British Academy of Management Fellows College as this would enable her to contribute her extensive experience in advancing research, education, and community engagement in management scholarship. As a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and BAM, former Deputy Dean, and internationally recognized scholar in strategy, history, and international business, she brings a strong record of leadership, editorial stewardship, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Stephanie has championed initiatives on equality, diversity, and inclusion, co-authoring the BAM Guide to Decolonising the Business School Curriculum, and has secured significant research funding to foster innovation in archival and digital methods. Her vision for the Fellows College is to strengthen its role as a thought leader, fostering inclusive dialogue on the future of management research and amplifying its impact on policy and practice. She will collaborate with the current Dean, Prof Savvas Papagiannidis to actively support BAM activities, mentor early-career scholars, and build bridges between academia, practice, and international partners and encourage BAM Fellows to continue their valuable engagement with our Academy.
